Shipping Labels Overview

Overview

Whether it's a single order with a single product or high volume sales with hundreds of line items and multiple shipments, Finale can handle your shipping workflows. Finale supports individual item shipping as well as bulk shipping label creation workflows.

Shipping labels are created against either the Sales Order or the Fulfillment Order shipment. Each order can either have a single shipping label, multiple package labels for a single shipment, or be split into multiple fulfillments, each with their own corresponding shipping label(s).

Finale's integrated shipping utilizes your ShipRush account, works seamlessly with the mobile barcode scanner to pick and pack orders, syncs all of the shipping details back to your marketplaces, and allows you to keep all of your order, shipment, and inventory details in one consolidated software.

Scan to Ship and Scan to Verify features are currently in development.

Examples

Basic Workflow

1. An order flows into Finale from a marketplace integration like Shopify, or is created manually within Finale

2. The shipper goes into the order within Finale and uses the button for "create shipment and label"

3. The details of the label are configured (weight, box dimensions, carrier, etc.)

4. The label is generated, the order is shipped and completed, a printable label is generated with a packing slip

5. The marketplace is notified with the tracking information.

Advanced Workflow

1. An order flows into Finale from a marketplace integration like Shopify, or is created manually within Finale

2. Order packing slips are printed with barcodes, or a batch is created in Finale for picking on the scanner

3. The mobile barcode scanner is used to pick the products for the order(s)

4. (Coming Soon) The shipper uses either Scan to Print or Scan to Verify to confirm the items in each order and to enter the shipping configuration details

5. Shipping details are added to the orders

6. Labels are processed individually or in bulk for the orders and sent directly to the printer without a print prompt

7. The marketplace is notified with the tracking information

Additional Related Capabilities

Address Verification

The ShipRush integration enables the Address Validation feature in Finale. Shipping is not required for this functionality, but the ShipRush integration is required.

Automations

Automations allow a multitude of operations to be streamlined. Some common examples are:

• Configuring carrier information

• Applying package presets

• Updating order details

• Completing orders after specific criteria is met

• Processing shipping labels

• Adding (or removing) order tags

Tags

Finale offers a robust tagging system that can pull down tags from Shopify as well as apply tags manually or through automations. Automations can also be configured to use tags as a filter criteria to run the automation.
