The Reordering Screen in Finale is a robust tool that supports multi-location ordering, and the ability to distinguish between products that do have a system-recommended quantity to order versus products that don't, allowing you to ultimately have full discretion over which products to reorder. You can edit quantities directly on-screen, and push your selected products to a purchase order with just a few clicks.
The tool also serves as an analytics dashboard, giving you visibility on the sales velocity (7 days, 14 days, and 30 days) and daily sales (over the last 7 days, 14 days, and 30 days) to help highlight product trends. You can customize the columns and information that are displayed on this screen, as well as add conditional formatting to highlight important pieces of information.
For now, both reordering screens - the classic one labeled Reordering (Legacy) and the new one labeled Reordering - will remain in the application.
Using the Reordering Feature Within Finale
Ability to Reorder from Two or More Locations
This allows you to create purchase orders based on demand from multiple locations. In the example below, you can make a reorder based on demand from:
Your Fulfilled by Merchant orders that are being fulfilled at the Texas Warehouse
FBA orders being fulfilled by Amazon®.
When selecting two, Finale will automatically sum the demand required of the points of both locations to calculate the combined reorder point.
To illustrate this, we will highlight the brown t-shirt:
If you wanted to reorder only based on the sales being fulfilled at the Texas Warehouse, Finale would suggest reordering 568 units.
If you wanted to reorder only based on the FBA sales being fulfilled at Amazon, Finale would suggest reordering 1609 units.
Together, Finale would suggest 2177 units if you wanted to reorder based on the demands from both locations.
It is an uncommon scenario, but you have a different Reordering in Qty of qty set for the two locations, Finale would automatically leverage the higher qty for combined sales order point calculation.
For example, if the Texas warehouse had a Reordering in Qty of set to 50 for the brown t-shirt and the Amazon location had a Reordering in Qty of set to 20, Finale would use the Reordering in Qty of of 50 for the calculation.
Ability to order any products from a specific supplier, not only the ones recommended by Finale.
In this example, Finale suggests reordering four products from supplier Daffy Duck. However, you can easily order additional products from Daffy Duck if you change the quantity filter to All Suppliers.
Among the scenarios that would be practical include:
Order other products to meet a minimum dollar threshold from the supplier
Order other products to fill a fixed volume, such as shipping container
Order other products near the rendering thresholds and make financials or logistic sense to order them now.
Ability to Edit the Quantity to Order Column is Editable on the Reordering Screen
There has been an additional column added to the screen called Recommended quantity. This allows you to still maintain visibility on the system-calculated order quantity while giving you the flexibility to edit the order quantity as you see fit.
The product quantities on the Quantity to order column will pull forward onto your purchase.
When you select a product to be part of your Purchase Order, you'll see that the Quantity to order column is auto populated with the Recommended quantity figure.
You can overwrite the Quantity to order by simply clicking into this field and typing your desired quantity in - be sure to click off the field to lock in your change.
When you click on the Create purchase button to go forward with creating your Purchase Order, you'll see your revised quantity pull forward. The quantities in the Quantity to order column will always be the ones that are used when you create a Purchase Order from this screen.
