Pull Sales Integration Error(warning) Meaning and How To Resolve

Here are a few common warning errors and how to resolve them when pulling sales into Finale.

Warning: Cannot contain consecutive blank spaces

  • Cause: A marketplace SKU with 2 consecutive spaces cannot be imported into Finale. Meaning SKU 123 456 cannot be used. However, SKU 123 456 can be used.

  • Solution: Remove the extra spaces on the marketplaces and use hyphens.

Warning: no packed shipments

  • Cause: If the integration is configured to use the mobile barcode scanner for order picking, this warning will show if the order is marked shipped on the marketplace and/or ShipStation, but Finale has no record of the barcode scanner being used to pick the order.

  • Solution: Pick the order on the scanner and sync back to Finale.

Warning: no product lookup for XYZ

  • Cause: An unknown marketplace SKU has no match or mapping to a Finale Product ID

  • Solution: Click on the blue hyperlink and assign the Finale product ID to the alias SKU.

Warning: sku mapped to inactive product XYZ

  • Cause: An order has a product on it that is mapped to an inactive product ID within Finale

  • Solution: Search for the product ID, and select "Activate" from the actions dropdown menu within the product details.

Warning: customer error

  • Cause: An error occurs if the account name or supplier matches a customer created in Finale.

  • Solution: Alter the name of the customer to be slightly different than the account name or supplier name.

Warning: authentication failed

  • Cause: Periodically marketplaces require you to reconnect to verify your credentials by updating your authentication tokens.

  • Solution: Edit the connection that is expired and enter new credentials provided by your marketplace.

Warning: Shipment ID not editable / Invoice ID not editable

  • Cause: A shipment or invoice has been cancelled in Finale and the integration is trying to add a new one to complete the order.

  • Solution: Manually reship the shipment or add the invoice within Finale and mark the order completed. If an order is supposed to be cancelled it will also need to be cancelled within Finale.
