Understanding the 403 Authorization Error
The 403 Error on the scanner typically indicates a permissions or access issue, meaning the scanner app is being denied access to perform the requested action. This most often occurs when the scanner is confirming that you're still "you" after some time of inactivity.
However, you may also receive a 403 Authorization Error message if you do not have an active user account to access Finale, or if your credentials need to be reauthorized. This is part of the security of your Finale account.
How to Resolve
Go to the Finale login page on your web browser.
Select "Forgot password" to initiate a password recovery.
Follow the steps to set a new password.
Note: that you will use the same login credentials across both the web browser and the mobile scanner. When you create a new password through this process, that password applies for both computer access and the barcode scanner login.
