Default Settings
The default settings determine the accounts used for general selling shipment and invoice transactions. You can edit these settings from the Selling tab within the Accounting section of your Application Settings.
Sales Source Overrides
The sales source override settings let you assign specific Income, Sales Clearing, and COGS accounts to each sales source individually. This is especially useful for users who want source-specific COGS. For example, you could have a dedicated Shopify COGS account for all Shopify transactions and a separate Amazon COGS account for Amazon sales.
Another practical use is to designate a general Sales Clearing account for sources where income is not being shared with QuickBooks Online, while using a specific sales clearing account for sources that do share income and generate invoices. This approach makes auditing your sales clearing accounts much simpler.
Note: You must first create the necessary accounts in the Chart of Accounts section before mapping them here.
If you don’t see the option name for your selling channel, marketplace, or sales source, it’s likely because the sales integration hasn’t been added to Finale Inventory. Once you add a selling or marketplace integration on the Integrations page, the corresponding sales source will be created automatically.
If you prefer to create custom sales source fields, go to Application Settings ? Selling tab, and check the Source section on the left.
