Proper Mapping of Marketplace SKUs to a unique Product ID or UPC Scan Key Association to Product ID
When you are selling products on different marketplace (e.g. Amazon and eBay), you may be forced to have different SKUs that correspond to the same product. As you sell on more marketplaces, the management of the marketplace SKUs become more complex, and many attempts manage this complexity with Excel worksheets. Finale Inventory handles this with a couple mouse clicks and properly keeps tracks on your inventory.
If you have UPC barcodes on your products, Finale Inventory will learn these barcodes and associate them to your Product IDs. The process of learning the UPC or externally created barcode is more commonly referred to creating a Scan Key.
Create Your Lookups/scan Keys
If you are using an e-commerce integration or Square POS, or using your own UPC or externally created barcodes, you should Import/create product lookups/scan keys – Home>Import & Export>Import to batch create & update product lookups (aka scan lookups)
