How to get a Zebra/Symbol/Motorola TC55 scanner to press the enter key after it scans a barcode

SYMPTOM

You scan a barcode in the Finale Inventory app and it decodes it and puts the data in the app on the screen but it does not advance or move to the next input box. It needs to press the enter key for you...

Applicable to Zebra/symbol/motorola Type Scanners

DataWedge on Android such as the TC8xxx, TC5x, TC7x, MC93, MC33, ET5x and TC2x

RESOLUTION:

1. On your device, launch the DataWedge.

2. From DataWedge Profiles, select Profile0. (In this example, Profile0 is the default profile).

3. Scroll down to enable the Keystroke Output option.

4. Select Basic data formatting.
   Flag the checkbox to select Send ENTER key.

5. You should have the Send data checked and Send ENTER key checked.
