If scanning a product and the scanner says "barcode not found," it means the barcode you scanned is not currently associated with any product in your Finale Inventory account. This can happen if the barcode hasn't been added to your product lookups or if it's a new barcode not yet registered in the system.
To resolve this:
Check Product Lookups: Ensure the barcode is entered as a product lookup for the correct item in Finale Inventory.
On that same scanner, could you do the following, from the main menu, go to more, more, more, more, 17. Test barcode.
Scan that bag again, and see what the scanner says.
I will show you the decoded value where it says: Barcode is: XXXXXXXXXX
It will also tell you if it know what that barcode is.
Use Learn Mode: If enabled, the scanner's "Learn Mode" allows you to assign new barcodes to products directly from the device during receiving or via the barcode learning function.
Manual Entry: You can manually add or update product lookups in Finale Inventory to associate the barcode with the correct product.
