How to Install the Finale Inventory Mobile Scanner App

If you purchased a mobile scanning device from our hardware partner, Barcode-Arena, and you:

  • Used one of the links that included the Finale Inventory logo

  • Used the PROMO CODE finaleinventory4life at checkout

The Finale Inventory app should already be installed on your device. Follow the setup and configuration instructions here.


Device OS Types

There are two basic versions of Android Operating Systems you may find on a mobile scanner device:

  1. Android

  2. Google Enterprise


Android: Google Play Store

Devices with access to the Google Play Store, such as the scanners listed below, can easily install the Finale Inventory app:

  • Chainway

  • Zebra TC56

  • Zebra TC57

  • Symbol TC55

Open the Google Play Store, search for "Finale Inventory", and download the latest version of the app. Future updates can also be installed via the Play Store.

Direct Google Play Store download: Download V12197 from the Google Play Store

Once downloaded, follow the setup and configuration instructions here.


Google Enterprise: No Google Play Store

Devices such as MC40 or Google Enterprise devices do not have the Google Play Store. You will need to download the Finale Inventory .APK file manually.

Options:

  • Option #1: Manual install using a direct download link

  • Option #2: Alternate install via apkpure.com without a Google account


Manual Install Without Google Play Store (option #1)

  1. Open the web browser app on your device.

  2. Go to https://tinyurl.com/v12197

  3. Once downloaded, do not click on it. Locate it in the Downloads folder and close the browser.

  4. Open the File Browser app (yellow folder icon) on your device.

  5. Navigate to Downloads, find the .APK file, and open it. Confirm it is the latest version.

  6. The Finale Inventory app will install.


Alternate Manual Install Without Google Play Store or Google Account (option #2)

  1. Open a browser and go to apkpure.com > search "Finale Inventory"

  2. Open the app’s page

  3. Download the .APK and allow installation from unknown sources if prompted

  4. Click Install.


Manual App Update Without Google Play Store

Follow these steps if the app is already installed but you want to update to the latest version:

  1. Quit the existing Finale Inventory app (Main Menu > More > More > More > QUIT).

  2. Open Android Settings > Apps > Find Finale Inventory > Uninstall.

  3. Open the web browser and go to https://tinyurl.com/v12197

  4. Follow the same steps as in Option #1 to reinstall the app.
