How to Bulk Update Fields in Finale Inventory
Overview
Finale Inventory now allows you to quickly and easily update multiple records at once using the Bulk Update feature. This function applies to Products, Sales Orders, and Purchase Orders.
You can select multiple entries and modify one or more fields simultaneously—saving time and reducing manual edits.
Bulk Update for Products
Steps
Navigate to the Products view.
Use the checkboxes on the left to select the products you want to update.
Click the Actions dropdown in the top right corner.
Click Update Selected Products.
Choose the field (column) you want to change, such as Category.
Enter or select the new value for the chosen field.
(Optional) Add additional columns to update, such as a custom field.
Click Next to review and confirm.
Allow the system to process the update.
The new values will appear in your product list.
Bulk Update for Sales Orders
Steps
Go to the Sales Orders view.
Select the desired sales orders using the checkboxes.
Click the Actions dropdown in the top right corner.
Select Update Selected Sales.
Add or change one or more fields, such as Customer, Fulfillment Method, or Salesperson (custom field).
Click Next, confirm the updates, and allow the system to process.
Once complete, verify that your orders reflect the updated fields.
Bulk Update for Purchase Orders
Steps
Navigate to the Purchase Orders view.
Select your open POs using the checkboxes.
From the Actions dropdown in the top right corner, select Update Selected Purchases.
Add or modify one or more fields such as Receive Date, Contact Person (custom field), or Public Notes.
Click Next, confirm, and allow the system to process the update.
Verify that your fields now show the new values.
